Urlaubshits Mix: April ‘09
Coming in right at the month’s end, it’s my monthly mixtape for your listening pleasure. It’s a bit more laid back than previous ones, with a lot of sub-110bpm cosmic disco. It also includes a track (leaked earlier this month on the Italians Do It Better blog) from new IDIB signing Desire. Called “If I Can’t Hold You”, it’s nothing short of sensational, hitting all the right melancholy notes. The last third is a lot faster than the rest, but I’ve been listening to the new Lindstrom and Prins Thomas stuff a lot, and their new single “Tirsdagsjam” is full of lush abstract textures which just so happened to go really well with the Bostro Pesopeo remix of James Yuill.
